I’m a little bit obsessed with all things pink/nude at the moment – whether it’s teaming a pair of pastel pink mules with my outfit, or picking up a new art print for our flat, I definitely have pink on the mind. It seems to have had a bit of a comeback as of late, it’s no longer the typically ‘girly’ shade it once was, and has been taking the form of more masculine pieces that have been catching my eye. Pink was never on the agenda for me up until this year, and I must say, It’s finally starting to feel at home in my wardrobe…
I picked up this little cotton stripe shirt whilst shopping recently, and intended to wear it over a bikini on holiday or tied loosely round my waist for a day at the beach. However, I LOVE how it looks with a simple black outfit – it has that summer rock n’ roll vibe to it that’s perfect for those days when I don’t fancy a summer dress. If you’re in the market for a perfect stripe shirt then I whole heartedly recommend H&M – I’ve picked up three over the last few weeks and they are such good quality whilst not breaking the bank too! A simple stripe shirt is a staple for me, so it’s an item I tend to naturally gravitate towards whenever I go shopping – this one is such a breezy cotton material and would look PERFECT over a little red bikini on holiday!
A stripe shirt is a really easy way of injecting a bit of colour into your wardrobe without swaying too far from your comfort zone – I’ve also been obsessed with a little nude hair scarf that you may have seen me wearing over on Instagram. I’m not saying this is the start of a life long love affair with my previously top avoided colour, but it’s definitely here to stay for summer! We have just booked flights to Italy and we leave at the end of this month – I’m SO excited as we haven’t had a proper holiday together in a long while, but rather quick weekends away before swiftly returning to rainy Manchester. We decided on Sicily after researching what felt like a million other destinations – we have previously been to Rome and fell in love with it, so I’m very keen to experience some more of Italy’s charm. I find the Italian style so inspiring – both the men and women seem to dress so immaculately, and what could be better than a week of pizza, pasta, and ice cream?? Not to mention the incredible coffee! I have a feeling it’s going to be one of our favourite holidays yet, and I can’t wait to create a little travel guide and document our time there…
