I dug this Frankie Shop knit out of my wardrobe a few days before we left – I wore it so much last year, and it had somehow hidden itself at the bottom of my jumper pile! I love how it looks against the print of this Nanushka coat too, it just breaks up the whole look by adding a bit of colour. The coat and jumper are both pieces from last year, and I’m so happy that I’m just as excited about them this year. I can already tell they will be winter staples I’ll pull out time and time again – they are just so classic and have definitely been money well spent…
I’m still very into these Miu Miu boots that I picked up earlier in the year too. I know this style of boot has the power to divide people, but I really feel like these are a nice ‘middle of the road’ take on the *ugly* boot trend. The only thing to note about this style of shoe is that they tend to come up large. I got my usual size six and my only regret is that I didn’t go down half a size because they have loosened up a fair bit over time. It doesn’t stop me wearing them though and thick walking socks are a great trick if you find your feet slightly slipping out of your favourite winter boots…
I’ve really been into double denim again since I got this denim shirt too – it’s a weirdly soft denim but has an outwardly sturdy structure which is all quite confusing. I’m pretty sure it’s still in stock so I’ll link it below for anyone who’s interested! I couldn’t recommend it more and I’m actually quite surprised by how much wear I’ve got out of it already. It’s perfect for adding an extra layer to your jumper or dress before throwing a coat over the top, and it never seems to look overly bulky which is always a bonus. I can get a bit carried away with layers sometimes, and then I catch myself in the mirror and I look ridiculous (oh so warm but ridiculous). I also love wearing a little knitted tank top underneath it for extra warmth on those days where I know I’ll be outside a lot – another great way to add a subtle layer without the comedy value…
I love the streets with the bold black railings like this in Brighton – they worked out so well with this outfit. Seems like a strange thing to say but it’s always a good day when the location compliments your look. The creamy yellow buildings against the camel brown jumper is a winter colour palette I can definitely get on board with..
