A little leopard print look in the lead up to Christmas? Who knew I’d be wearing sheer Leopard print in the last few days of 2019. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Leopard print – it’s definitely something that seems to divide people, but I always find myself falling back in love with it again when I find the right piece…
This little top was a gift from Allsaints a few weeks back, and I love how it looks with a pair of tailored trousers. It’s such a simple look that works for so many festive occasions at this time of year! You can dress it up or down with different shoes and accessories, and adding a red lip just takes it to the next level. For me, there’s nothing quite like Leopard print and a red lip to get me in the mood for drinks with friends, dancing, and maybe even some karaoke (if I can convince those around me that me singing Avril Lavigne – Complicated at least three times is a great idea).
There’s something about Leopard print that reminds me of ‘British nights out’, Kate moss, and all the Nineties/Noughties outfits that I’d rip out of magazines and endlessly try to recreate…
Whatever your favourite festive looks happen to be at the end of each year – Leopard print really strikes me as one of those that will forever feel relevant! Much like polka dots and stripes, it’s a print with it’s own personality, and definitely continues to be a cornerstone in many wardrobes around the world. For me, it’s whenever I have that magical moment and stumble across the right piece that makes me feel excited again…
