As promised, some more film snaps of me styling my new hat! It’s a sad state of affairs that I’ve become so obsessed with a hat, but I just know it’s a piece I’m going to have so much fun styling. I wanted to show you how I’d wear it for a ‘summer holiday situation’ – as well as the previous more tailored look…
I also recently picked up this silk shirt from the Na Nin Vintage ‘in house’ line and I couldn’t be happier with it – it arrived just after I got back from Italy, but I’m really hoping for another seaside getaway before the year is out. Having said that, I’ve been wearing it loads over jeans with chunky sandals and it works beautifully. I’ve just been wearing it loosely buttoned up, but I’m really keen to try a little white tank top underneath it too…
I love how it looks thrown over this retro inspired WeekDay swimsuit – I mean, I don’t think I’ve ever met a brown stripe that I didn’t like? It’s the perfect option for those days when a high waist bikini just isn’t making me feel my best, and the added touch of the brown hat just ties everything together so nicely…
If you can’t peacock on holiday then when can you? I’m a big fan of looks that appear editorial when you shoot them, but are actually super practical for real life…
Last but not least, I wanted to mention the necklace that I’m wearing here. It’s by Louise Damas and it really does feel like the cherry on top of this ‘I own a beach house’ inspired look. She kindly sent it to me last week, and I’ve been wearing it none stop. It’s such a delicate design, but statement enough to wear with low cut blouses and feel your fanciest self…
Speaking of fanciest self: long may this hat serve my wardrobe and prevent the world from seeing my bad hair days…
