It’s been a minute since I’ve shared a playlist with you guys on here! Music is a funny one for me, I find that I really withdraw from doing the things I enjoy the most when I’m feeling down or overwhelmed in some way. It’s usually one of the first signs that I need to check in with myself – if I’m not feeling hungry for music and I’m not eager to build new playlists and listen to them over and over again until I’m bored to tears of them, it’s usually a sign that there’s work to be done…
Music has always been a part of my upbringing and who I am at my core. I love all kinds of music and I’m forever in awe of people who can create it. Watching live music is one of the times I feel most alive and connected to the world around me – I really can’t wait to head to a festival next year and get that tingly goose-bump feeling watching some of my favourites on stage.
July is one of my favourite months – not just because it’s my birth month but also because it’s high summer and the weather is usually good and people are generally in a great mood and out there enjoying life. Whilst I was sunbathing in my Mum’s back garden a couple of weekends ago, I started trying to capture ‘July’ in a playlist and how I feel whenever July comes around again. It’s nostalgic, and summery, and pretty much everything I feel like listening to whilst developing bad tan lines…
