A checked jacket is always an autumn/winter staple piece for me but this Sandro Paris one feels particularly special – I’m a bit obsessed with blue and brown tone colour combinations at the moment, and I really love that this piece injected some colour into my simple outfits on those gloomy Manchester days…
I’m not a huge fan of the colour blue (unless it’s navy of course), I just don’t find it to be a flattering colour on me and it’s never a colour that I find myself gravitating towards. However, if you mix it with an earthy/vintage brown looking shade, it automatically becomes something that appeals to me! That was very much the case with this jacket and it’s definitely been a hero piece for me over the past few weeks. It’s an exciting piece for me to have in my collection because it’s more vibrant than any other jacket I own but still feels very true to my personal style…
I also wanted to mention this gorgeous grey marl roll neck jumper that was kindly sent to me by a brand called Beaufort And Blake – I got it in a size medium and it’s one of the best jumpers I’ve ever owned! Not only do I love how it looks against the colours of this jacket, but it’s also incredibly warm without being super bulky as a layering piece. It’s a wool blend and has been my absolute fail-safe on my daily walks over the past couple of weeks. It would make a really lovely Christmas gift too for the knitwear lover in your life! There’s something very quintessentially festive about unwrapping a piece of knitwear on Christmas Day…
