A little jacket appreciation post for you today! I wanted to bring this amazing Weekday jacket to your attention. It’s such a funny time to dress for at the moment, and the weather seems to change it’s mind every five minutes. I’ve found myself living in this trench style jacket over the past few weeks, and it continues to be such a great layering piece for current transitional times…
I have it in a size small, and it’s the ideal slouchy fit for wearing a t-shirt or a thin turtleneck underneath. Especially on those days where you don’t quite know what you’re in for when you leave the safety of your own home…
There’s also plenty of room to fit a jumper underneath too, and I can picture it looking so chic with an oversized scarf and hiking style boots when the weather really cools down. I just love the shape that it creates with a pair of tailored trousers – these are the same ones I’ve been wearing none stop now and I couldn’t recommend them more. They are by And Other Stories and I really don’t feel like the images on the website do them justice. I now have two pairs of them because I like them that much, and they have just been perfect for a whole array of occasions (day or night)…
I’m also really into wearing heeled sandals with tailored trousers whilst the weather still allows. I think they elevate this outfit so well with the little matching (Nineties style) handbag. This is an outfit that could look totally different with some plimsoles and a tote bag, and I’m all for creating combinations in my wardrobe that can be worn in multiple different ways. It also makes packing with a luggage allowance a much simpler and less stressful affair!
