I recently invested in this Totême jacket and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. It’s a style of jacket that I’ve owned in many variations over the years, so I really felt as though I could justify the price tag of this beauty (cost per wear and all that jazz). I don’t tend to impulse buy much anymore – I make a lot of wish lists and refer to them when I have some disposable income. I’d never tried anything from Totême before now, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of fit and quality. I have to say, this is definitely the most beautifully made khaki jacket I’ve owned to date, and I just know that I’ll get so much wear out of it…
It’s got such a gorgeous structured look to it – combined with the softest cotton interior that makes it feel much more luxurious than your average vintage shop military jacket find. I wanted something a bit more colourful to break up some of my neutral looks, and this works like a dream. I love how it looks with a little neck scarf, and I can’t wait to wear it over midi dresses! It’s the perfect festival jacket too, although I’m not quite sure I trust myself not to loose it at Glastonbury…
It’s that time of year where I’m starting to feel more inspired by fashion again, and I’m itching to pick up new staple pieces for the summer months ahead. I’ve been making the most of the sunny spells and having a much needed wardrobe sort out – it’s almost time to start packing the knitwear away for another year and I’m very much looking forward to bare legs, freckles, and sun-kissed shoulders…
