I think the vintage sourcing magpie in me peaked when I stumbled across this trench coat – it’s exactly the sort of design I’d been lusting after, but for a fraction of the price of the ones I’d been stalking (hurrah!). Oh, and did I mention it was reversible?

I picked it up via the Imparfaite website – a little Paris based destination that I’ve been smitten with for some time now. Some of last years most worn summer pieces were bought from Imparfaite – both midi skirts that I’m still very excited to wear religiously again this year. I LOVE how they present everything on their website too. They style different looks with the pieces they find, then you can shop each individual look, or you can opt to browse the website as a whole. It’s such a great idea to get people more excited about shopping second hand – not everybody wants to spend ages scrolling through page after page of vintage, so their ‘collection’ option really turns this on it’s head and offers a speedier way to find pieces you love…

They basically do the hard graft for you and the styling is amazing! I always feel inspired whenever I have a late night browse.

I’ve really fallen back in love with trench coats again recently – I forgot how easy they are to style, and they are perfect for throwing on in the evening too. For a simple daytime look, I’ve been gravitating towards black trousers, a blouse, and some plimsole style shoes. It feels very vintage inspired but also modern and minimal at the same time. Teamed with a scrunchie and a little bucket bag for a subtle girly touch…

It’s a look I’ve been wearing on repeat and it feels nice to have something that feels a bit like a uniform. It’s a look I can throw together without much thought, and I can really switch it up depending on my mood/the weather. I also love how it looks with a jumper, some chunky boots, and a cross body bag to tie everything together…

Lots of you messaged me about these magical Tretorn shoes when I posted them on Instagram, so I thought I’d give you the low down. I say magical because they are slip on (I repeat, SLIP ON), and you don’t even have to tie up the laces because they are merely for show. Basically the lazy girls answer to sensible footwear – you can put them on as you’re rushing out the door and they match with everything. I love my Superga and Converse, but sometimes I just want something a bit different – these have definitely filled a missing space on my shoe rack, and I know that I’ll get so much wear out of them over the spring/summer months.

Last but not least – they are very, very comfortable!

All in all, the perfect outfit for city dwelling come rain or shine! It’s also ideal for when you need to pack light – I’ve taken it on both my recent trips to Amsterdam and it’s super comfortable to travel in. It’s also worth noting that I haven’t experimented with the reverse side of this trench coat yet, so watch this space…
