Yep, you guessed it, another post entirely dedicated to my love affair with denim. I recently picked up another great pair of vintage Levi jeans, and realised that I have quite the obsession with finding the perfect pair of jeans. I have accepted that denim is a huge part of my personal style, and something that just generally makes me feel my best. It’s the first rail I check when entering a vintage shop, and the last thing I have to prise myself away from when it’s laundry day…
I recently picked up this light wash pair in London and couldn’t be happier with them – I haven’t worn light wash denim in a longgg while, and it’s always difficult to find the right fit for my body type. As I’ve mentioned a million times, I’m smaller at the waist but then I have curves, so jeans shopping in general can be a bit of a nightmare situation. Having said that, lately I’ve found myself caring less about whether things ‘fit me right’ or ‘flatter my figure’ – if I feel comfortable in my outfit then surely that’s all the validation I need. After all, confidence will always make any outfit look a million times better…
I love how the baby blue tone of the jeans looks against classic black accessories – it’s such an easy way to make your summer denim wardrobe work for the autumn/winter months. I also picked this black knitted beauty up whilst in shopping in London and pretty much haven’t taken it off since – it’s technically a cardigan but I love how it looks buttoned up and slightly tucked into anything high waist. It creates a really flattering cold weather look, meaning I can layer up gold necklaces, add a touch of red lipstick, and it’s smart – casual in a matter of seconds! Add a gold chain bag and it’s the perfect October look that I’ve been recreating for the past few weeks now – I love nothing more than oversized jeans with evening inspired accessories. It’s effortlessly undone but still stylish enough to make the outfit feel interesting…
